Schwan Travel Co. ("we," "us," "our") is an independent travel advisory run by Jennifer Schwan and affiliated with the Dream Vacations host agency network. This policy explains what information we collect through schwantravel.com, why we collect it, and how you can control it. It applies to this website and to the forms, itinerary advisor, and newsletter signup it contains.
Information We Collect
We collect information you choose to give us, and a small amount of automatic usage data.
- Contact and consultation forms. Name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, along with any trip details or message you include.
- Virtual Itinerary Advisor. Your answers to our travel-preference questions, plus the name, email, and optional phone number and notes you provide to receive results.
- Newsletter signup. The email address you submit to subscribe.
- Usage data. Standard analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location (city/region level), device type, and referring site, collected automatically through Google Analytics.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiry and plan, quote, or book travel on your behalf.
- To share your trip details with the relevant tour operators, cruise lines, hotels, or other suppliers needed to fulfill a booking.
- To send you travel inspiration or updates, only if you've subscribed or asked to hear from us, and always with an easy way to unsubscribe.
- To understand how visitors use this site so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site traffic and usage patterns.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused CAPTCHA alternative, to prevent spam submissions on our forms.

Third-Party Services We Use
Parts of this site rely on outside services to function: Cloudflare (hosting, forms, and spam protection), Google (Analytics and web fonts), Cloudinary (image delivery), and OpenStreetMap/Leaflet (interactive maps). Some blog posts link to Viator for bookable tours and activities; these are outbound affiliate links to Viator's own site and are governed by Viator's privacy policy, not ours. Our social links (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) take you to those platforms' own sites, each with their own privacy practices.
Data Retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, manage an active or past booking, or maintain reasonable business records, after which it's deleted or anonymized. Newsletter subscribers remain on our list until they unsubscribe.

- You can unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email, or by contacting us directly.
- You can decline optional form fields (like phone number) and still submit an inquiry.
